Marshare Penny, MPH
Marshare Penny has been working in public health for a decade and has extensive experience in disease surveillance, research, data analysis, health education, program management, and evaluation.  Ms Penny has provided numerous professional, academic, and community presentations on topics across communicable and chronic diseases spectrums.   Ms. Penny has worked with community-based, local, state, and national agencies to support the mission of community and public health.

Ms Penny is an instructor of Health Science at California State University at San Bernardino and is an associate faculty member at Mt San Jacinto College.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health Education and a Master’s of Public Health in Epidemiology from San Diego State University.  She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health degree in Behavioral Science/Health Education from Loma Linda University and is an Epidemiologist for the County of Riverside Department of Public Health.


Prior to her current position with Riverside County, she held positions with San Bernardino County Department of Public Health as an epidemiologist, Sharp Health Care as a Community Health Education Specialist, and the Tariq Khamisa Foundation as a program facilitator for injury and violence prevention education.

I have been a graphic designer for a very long time.  In that time I have developed a graphic philosophy; It is really one of a story teller.  It is my job is to visually engage the reader, to invoke an emotion if possible.  If I can do that, then my efforts are not in vain.
